I’m moving into my new house very soon, and what better way to settle into a new abode than by climbing into fresh new sheets. It can be nice to create a calming environment in a bedroom and white based illustration patterns seem to be on trend in the ‘duvet fashion’ world. If you’re hesitant in using white as it can give a cold effect, a thick throw draped across the bed or the addition of colourful cushions can really help to warm things up.
Here are some beautiful picks I’ve found:
This is one of my favourites. It falls into the more expensive category but I spotted this walking round Zara Home and the illustrations are beautifully detailed. Blue’s also a very calming tone and fits in well if you live in a coastal area but would equally work well even if you don’t live near the sea. This could be a good way to introduce blue into your room.
This follows the floral illustration trend that seems to be appearing in bedding this summer. It’s a dainty pattern and the pink adds to the prettiness. I think this design is quite subtle but also has the potential to turn into a statement piece if you wanted it too.
This is also one of my favourites. It takes on the floral illustration design that’s very on trend, in a way which is suitable if you’re going for a less girly style. It would also link nicely to any foliage in your room, and could introduce a fresh green colour scheme into the room.
This is a really nice twist to a plain white duvet. Sometimes when there’s a lot already happening in a room, plain white seems the best colour. The intricate trimming follows the Coachella white crochet trend this season and is a nice touch without creating a clutter effect in the room.
I found a really similar design to Zara’s illustrative style in Ikea. The illustrations are detailed and this would work well to give a homely, country style to any bedroom.
This pattern adds a punch of colour. I think this would look cute in both an adult room or children’s room. The amount of detail on the raspberry illustrations give it a sense of maturity, so it doesn’t seem too childish. It’s a great statement piece.
This continues the floral illustration trend and this pattern in particular leaves a lot of potential for introduction of various colours into the bedroom.
This is quite similar to the last pattern, however the leaf design is slightly less girly. This is great if you like to change colours schemes within your room regularly and like all of my selections would suit a big thick throw draped across it for a less cold feeling touch.
This is quite a neutral floral design which is good as this is versatile in working with any colours you may wish to add to a room. It’s a nice alternative to a plain white duvet.
